About Me

Hi! My name is Charlotte DeCoster and I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Communication Arts and certificates in Digital Studies and Life Sciences Communication. Through an abundance of communications-related courses, I have honed in on my passions for travel, digital media creation, and serving the community. I am very passionate about creating a fun and cohesive work environment and having a position where my outgoing personality can shine is very important to me.

Throughout my time as a UW-Madison student, I made sure to put my eggs in a variety of baskets, giving me a well-rounded background as an employee. Having experience both locally and abroad, I have really leaned into my passions and strengths. My diverse work experiences and hobbies have ultimately led me down the road of interest towards the Recreation, Tourism, and Nonprofit industries. I recently concluded my position as a Marketing & Communications Intern for the nonprofit "Finnish Special Education in Africa" and the marketing agency "Sakea" in Helsinki, Finland. I enjoyed learning from such passionate individuals and have loved leaning into Finnish culture.

 

In addition to my passion for exploration and the outdoors, I am equally interested in showcasing the beauty of other cultures and destinations through photography and videography. I believe these are fascinating ways of storytelling and beautiful methods of bringing people together. I just concluded a 5.5 month backpacking journey around Central and Southeast Asia where I was able to learn the ins and outs of my camera in addition to learning more about the world around me. My next adventure  involves a photography position in Alaska and I am really looking forward to bringing my lifelong passion to this position.​
